Pfizer partners with CoLabL to design, facilitate, and evaluate EDGE Lead Now, a nine-week early career talent development program built for professionals at the start of their careers. Working closely with Pfizer leadership, CoLabL customized every element of the experience to deepen alignment with Pfizer’s values, strengthen in-demand skills, expand professional networks, and support long-term retention.
The program blends virtual and in-person learning experiences, facilitated peer groups, one-on-one manager discussions, and hands-on action learning projects. Participants work through self-awareness and personal branding, building and managing relationships, cultivating an agile mindset in a feedback-forward culture, and managing time, conflict, and stress. Each module pairs with a project that puts learning into practice, and the experience culminates in an in-person graduation summit in New York City featuring senior leader panels, fireside chats, skills-in-action simulations, and a final capstone project.
What participants valued most was each other. Across the feedback, the most cited theme was the meaningful connections formed with peers from different rotational programs and Pfizer sites, many of whom would never have met otherwise. The in-person summit and direct access to senior leaders, including hearing from Chief Global Supply Officer Mike McDermott, stood out as highlights, as did Dan Horgan’s facilitation and the practical, immediately applicable takeaways on leadership and showing up authentically. The experience reflects Pfizer’s commitment to developing and retaining early career talent and CoLabL’s belief that relationships drive change.
